Triumph

Swinging in the seas
Knocking around the twirling waves
Splintering as the water churns
Sputtering as the crest comes to rest, momentarily

Tossed and spurned
He grasps and gurgles
Waiting for the air to unchoke him
And free him from his suspension in this uncertainty

Blinking away the unreal tears
He attempts to find a parting in the water
To regain some balance
From the swaying of the sea

Assembling his bold quotient
He plucks strength from each quarter
He displaces the fear attempting to shatter him
And grabs a handful of the waves

Wrestling with this beautiful, fierce Beast
He fends off the swells with astonishing courage
Not providing consent to let himself collapse
He enlightens the unsuspecting surges with his intense might

Battling it out, he thrashes and whirls
Unrelenting and determined
The sea tries every trick she knows
But against his will, she is inadequate

Slowly, she concedes, quietly
And admits that her competition conquered her
Fair and square
Despite being only a fraction of her intimidating size

She never encountered another like him
Who refused to relent
And admired his display of valor and courage
Learning from him in the process

She swims away, defeated
But transformed by the experience
And the victor breathes to see another day
Flourishing in the release of his Triumph.

Dandelion Smile

Delicate, but not frail
She floats along
Where the waters sail
Where the winds' whisper of a kiss
Nudges her along.
She wont come apart
Not if she resolves not to
But she welcomes the choice
To let go
To willingly sever
From what has broken before
And what she cant fix.
She breathes
And her whole being comes alive
A wisp of a wind chime that she is
He heart beating in each tuft of herself
She sways
Along the silky arms of the winds
Intact
Rolling about the grasses
Carefree.
She fosters no acknowledgement of impending danger
In doing so
Causing the fiend, imagined or not
To cease to exist.
She bounces about
Childish and innocent
Aware of the blossoming Life
Flourishing in all around her
And sponging it in
Till she twirls about the falling leaves
And comes to rest
On the silent waters below.
Here she smiles
Tranquil in peace
Still, but not stagnant
Cradled, but untouched.
She surrenders to the surface
Holding still but not holding on
Allowing the sunlight to tickle her
Till he hides behind a cloud.
Here she will linger
One with Nature
One with herself
Unspoken
Unsinned
Smiling.

Thank You For Your Love

What can I say
You took my heart away
I see a prettier world
Than what is on display

A diamond in a rose
Poetry and prose
The colors of sunrise
The river as it flows

A summer in a breeze
A piano and its keys
Prelude to a kiss
Falling to my knees

A sultry serenade
A whisky lemonade
A perfect pirouette
A sapphire cascade

A simple moonlight gaze
Snowdrops and sun rays
A smile at its crest
Sinatras and Bublés

A savoury perfume
An ambitious feathered plume
A silver flavored light
Twilight in full bloom

I'm learning I can fly
Like a rainbow through the sky
Thank you for your love
I'm so happy I could cry
